Our Story
Begins in the East and continues in the Twin Cities
Our family came to Minnesota from Vietnam in 1980. My mom brought her love of cooking and opened MT Noodles in Brooklyn Park. In 2017, we were named Best Vietnamese Restaurant in the Twin Cities by the City Pages. On May 21, 2020, we expanded our successful concept to focus on our Top Sellers: Pho, Com & Banh Mi. As a result, Pho Mai debut in Dinkytown near the U of MN Campus.
In 2022, the Year of the Tiger, we expanded Pho Mai to Eden Prairie at the new Asia Mall. We also opened a premium Boba Tea and Mochi Donut cafe at that same location in Eden Prairie.
In 2023, we are excited to bring Pho Mai Express to Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN. In addition, we have purchased the iconic Keefer Court Bakery and will be opening it in the Asia Mall in the fall of 2023.
Why Pho Mai?
The owners of Pho Mai met while attending the University of MN. Michael and Mai attended the U of MN from 1992 - 1996, where they enjoyed the terrific scenery, food, and friends around the Minneapolis campus. With the help of Mai's brother, Peter Do, the family returned to the U of MN and opened Pho Mai on May 21, 2020!
